Where is he from?
Francisco is from Peto, Yucatan. It is a town of approximately 20,000 people and is located 4 hours from Akumal. Francisco has 4 children (3 girls and 1 boy) with his wife. They all live in Peto.

How long has he worked at HAC?
Francisco has been taking care of guests at the snack bar and Lol-ha for one year.

What brought him to Akumal?
He saw an ad in the newspaper for employment.

Special memory-
Francisco said his special memories are with his children especially when they were all born. He said he was so nervous but he didn’t pass out.

Something people might not know about Francisco-
Prior to coming to Akumal, Francisco would do about any odd job there was to make money. Employment was hard to find where he is from so Francisco worked as a butcher, carpenter, or he built palapas. This is another reason that brought him to Akumal.

Funny memory-
Francisco grinned and laughed out loud when he was asked this question. He said that one night he was working at Lol-ha and was taking care of a table from Texas on the veranda. He went to approach the table but didn’t know someone had closed the sliding glass door and he ran right into it. He said it made a huge noise and left a mark on the glass.

What does Francisco like most about working at HAC?
Francisco likes getting to know all the people and where they come from. He likes serving people of different nationalities and learning what they like and don’t like.

During his off time, Francisco likes to return home to Peto and spend time with his family.
