Where is he from?
Adrian is from Sotuta, Yucatan. He now lives in Chemuyil with his family. He and his wife had 6 children which all live nearby. He has 7 grandchildren.
How long has he worked at HAC?
Adrian has worked for 21 years at HAC. He has always worked in the kitchen however he started out as a dishwasher. During his free time as a dishwasher he would practice and help out in the kitchen to prepare for meals. He is now the kitchen chef.
What brought him to Akumal?
Pablo Bush was a partner of a restaurant where CEA currently is. Adrian’s brother was a server there and told him about the job opening.
Special memory-
Adrian has many memories of all the hurricanes that have passed through the years. He remembers the area suffering after Hurricane Gilberto in 1985. People tried to get their life back together. Six years later the area was flooded when Hurricane Roxanne hit. At the time the people of Akumal were living in the area where the library is now. The town of Akumal was established as a result of these two hurricanes.
Something people might not know about Adrian-
Adrian played semi pro baseball years ago for Los Guerreros. His position was 3rd baseman. He played for one year.
What does he like most about working at HAC?
He likes to cook all the dishes at the restaurant. He also enjoys the people he works with.
What does he do when he is not working?
Adrian and his wife travel to Sotuta to visit family.
