My husband and I just returned from Akumal last weekend where we stayed for 11 wonderful days. This was our first trip into Mexico and your hotel was recommended to us by a very dear friend. She was right on about your hotel, service, food, beach, friendly people and the resident cats and dogs. We made many friends of staff and fellow visitors, everyone went out of their way to make the vacation the best ever.

I was particularly impressed with your emphasis on the environment and protecting your fragile beach and ocean. While there, a sustainable building conference was taking place and the agenda was quite comprehensive. I have served on the planning commission in Oregon City for 5 years and am well aware of the need of green development and sustainable, well planned communities.

Keep up the excellent work you are doing in the community. We will definitely be back next year. After returning from this vacation, I raved about the wonderful time we had and my friend and her husband who introduced us to Akumal have decided to return in May!
