We had an amazing trip and loved our room 408 of course. It’s our favorite room and was ready for us when we arrived. Laydi always had fresh flowers in the room daily which always brightened my day and made me smile and feel special during our stay. The gesture is very much appreciated and she always welcomed us with a big friendly smile and our room was always very clean.

All of the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and very accommodating. George went out of his way to make sure we were always taken care of, spent time chatting with us and is just a terrific guy. He does a great job at making the guest feel welcome and he truly cares about the guest happiness during their stay. We noticed a huge improvement this year service wise. Miguel also did a great job when we needed him and Barth at the front desk was helpful as usual. There are many others that I don’t know their names that were wonderful. We just thought everyone made us feel welcome.

The bar and restaurant staff was great as well. Everyone went out of there way for us. We enjoyed the service and the friendliness of all of the staff. It’s nice to come back each year and they actually remember you. On New Years Eve we had a nice table in front of the snack bar. Andres did a wonderful job at making sure we were happy and taken care of. Rodrigo , I think he may have been a manager of some sort was just terrific. He went out of his way many times to make sure we were happy. We wanted the prime rib and did not realize we needed a reservation and the restaurant was full. He was able to work it out so we had the prime rib and those awesome mashed potatoes at our favorite ocean front table. It could not have been better. All of the food and drinks were very tasty.

I also wanted to mention Samuel in the snack bar; we met him a few years ago and he has always remembered us and has gone out of his way to make sure we are taken care of and happy. He is a great guy and we always look forward to seeing him again.

We look forward to our next visit to Akumal. When planning trips, we think about it all year and can’t wait for it. When we get to our destination it is important that everything goes smooth. Even the slightest of problems can ruin a day or the week. Most people say “hey when you are on vacation, bad things can happen just go with it, at least your on vacation”. I disagree. We look forward to our trip and dream about it all year. We want every minute to be perfect. That is what we got from our trip this year and I wanted you to know it and to thank you all for that.
