CEA - is a non-profit organization dedicated to the following mission:
CEA sponsors research into the many aspects of the coastal marine environment and the Maya culture which is Quintana Roo, Mexico. CEA has been fortunate to have scientists from many disciplines who have given their time and the results of their research to help CEA define and address local threats to the environment and the Maya culture due to the ever-increasing destabilization of the Mexican Caribbean coastal environment. On the left navigation bar are a few of the different programs in which CEA is involved.
If you have visited Akumal lately you may have seen a new friendly face wandering through the local businesses who appears as if he is on a mission. That may very well be Juan Antonio Huerta. Juan Antonio is the new Property Manager for Ukana. He has come to Akumal with high hopes of making Akumal a model of sustainability for the entire Municipality. (For those who don't know - Municipality is the term for county.)
